Once you`re past the discomfort of the stone-slab seating and your bum has adjusted, the north indian grub here is damn good. Paneer makhni was rich and creamy and makhni dal had lots of flavour. The best part of the meal was the tandoori chicken, scrumptuous! I wish restaurants would stop already with the kitsch, decorwise, all that faux `indian-ness` is getting ho-hum.

Chandni Chowk immediately reminded me of Oye Amritsar at church st - a replica of chandni chowk has been fabricated here (just as at Oye, of amritsar). The seats are stone slabs on which to enjoy the pretty good mutton chops and tandoori chicken. The dal makhni was also good but compared to Oye, I`d say a star less.
