Hi, I`m from Coimbatore and was in Chennai some time back, stayed at the Accord Metropolitan Hotel. My experience: was very satisfied with the room, very spacious with a fridge, mini-bar (which I used quite freely, I admit), tea-coffee-making machine (saved a lot of money) and a big clean bathroom. Breakfast was at SEASONS (coffee shop), omlettes and sunny-side up eggs. Didn`t have lunch there but dined at PERGOLA once, beautiful view (15th floor), don`t much recall all that I had but do remember that the dessert was one of the best I`ve had, something called shahi-tukda. Also ventured into their nightclub (OPM) one night by mistake while I was searching for the bar (ZODIAC), beat a hasty retreat because of the loud music (I`m too old for that I guess). ZODIAC itself was a stark contrast, quiet, sober, softly made up, the ideal place to sit and ruminate over life. Yes, it`s all a bit expensive but then this level of luxury does not come cheap.
